Application by ocean carrier for registration of agent
(1) An ocean carrier may apply for the registration of a person as the ocean carrier’s agent for the purposes of this Act. (2) The person must: (a) be an individual resident in Australia; (b) have been appointed by the ocean carrier as the ocean carrier’s agent for the purposes of this Act; and (c) have an address for service in Australia. (3) The application must be: (a) made to the Registrar; (b) made in the prescribed form and in accordance with the regulations; and (c) accompanied by the prescribed fee.
