AER Deputy Chair to act as the AER Chair
The AER Deputy Chair is to act as the AER Chair: (a) during a vacancy in the office of the AER Chair, whether or not an appointment has previously been made to the office; or (b) during all periods when the AER Chair: (i) is absent from duty or from Australia; or (ii) is, for any reason, unable to perform the duties of the office. Note: See also subsection 33A(2) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901.
