Directions from the President
Despite the President’s power of direction under section 582, the General Manager is not required to comply with a direction by the President to the extent that: (a) compliance with the direction would be inconsistent with the General Manager’s performance of functions or exercise of powers under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 in relation to the FWC; or (b) the direction relates to the General Manager’s performance of functions or exercise of powers under the Public Service Act 1999 in relation to the FWC; or (c) the direction relates to the conduct by the General Manager of the review and research, and the preparation of the report, under section 653; or (d) the direction relates to the General Manager’s performance of functions or exercise of powers under the Registered Organisations Act.
