Certificate evidence
(cf s 221 MACA) (1) A certificate issued by the Authority or a person authorised by the Authority as to the name of a licensed insurer by whom a third-party policy has been issued for a particular period for— (a) a particular motor vehicle, or (b) motor vehicles to which a particular trader’s plate is fixed, is admissible in any proceedings and is evidence of the matters certified by the certificate. (2) A certificate issued by the Authority or a person authorised by the Authority stating that a third-party policy was not in force on a particular date or during a particular period in relation to— (a) a particular motor vehicle, or (b) motor vehicles to which a particular trader’s plate was fixed, is admissible in any proceedings and is evidence of the matters certified by the certificate.
