Obstruction of investigator
(1) A person must not— (a) without reasonable excuse, refuse or fail to comply with any notice given or requirement made, or to answer any question asked, by an investigator under this Division, or (b) provide information or give evidence in purported compliance with a requirement made or question asked by an investigator under this Division knowing the information or evidence to be false or misleading in a material particular, or (c) wilfully delay, hinder or obstruct an investigator in the exercise of the investigator’s functions under this Division. (2) Despite any other provision of this Division, a natural person is excused from answering any question, providing any information, giving evidence or producing or permitting the inspection of a document in accordance with this Division on the ground that the answer, information, evidence or document may tend to incriminate the person.
