Keeping of pets with landlord’s consent
(1) A tenant who has entered into a residential tenancy agreement for residential premises may keep an animal at the residential premises with the landlord’s consent. (2) A tenant does not need the landlord’s consent to keep an assistance animal at residential premises. (3) This section is a term of every residential tenancy agreement. (4) In this section— assistance animal has the same meaning as in the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 of the Commonwealth.
