Section 7.27Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017 (NSW)

Non-binding opinion of medical assessor

(1) A merit reviewer or the Commission may refer a medical assessment matter to the President for assessment for the purposes of the provision of a non-binding opinion by a medical assessor for the assistance of the merit reviewer or the Commission.
(2) The President is to refer the matter to a medical assessor for assessment for that purpose.
(3) The opinion provided by the medical assessor on such an assessment is not binding on the merit reviewer or the Commission or on the parties to a claim.
